MODEL 777

CABIN

Perhaps the most breathtaking part of the model is its painstakingly detailed cabin, which the hinged sections of the fuselage open to reveal. The cabin was one of the more exciting parts of the project for me to complete, as it drew on my interest in architecture and interior design. Nearly every feature was researched and included, down to the tissues in the bathroom, the reading lights on the upper class seats, and the 777’s signature translating doors.

FURNISHING THE CABIN

It was exhilarating to outfit the cabin—it was the first time that the model really felt like it was transcending the limits of paper.

DESIGN

Immense planning was required to successfully install everything, from the overhead bins to the curtains to the magazine racks.
